Terms of Service
Last updated: July 3, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of meetingornot.com (the "Site"), including the meeting decision quiz and all articles published here. Using the Site means you accept these Terms; if you don't accept them, please don't use the Site.
1. What the Site Provides
Meeting Or Not offers a free, browser-based quiz that recommends a communication format โ live meeting, email, quick message, or shared document โ based on your answers to six questions, plus editorial content about workplace communication. The Site is free to use and supported by advertising.
2. Recommendations Are Guidance, Not Gospel
The quiz produces a recommendation generated by a weighted scoring model. It is general guidance for thinking about communication formats โ not professional, managerial, legal, or HR advice, and not a substitute for your own judgment about your specific workplace, relationships, and context. You remain responsible for your own communication decisions, including the awkward ones.
3. Rules of Use
When using the Site, you agree that you will not:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Site or the infrastructure it runs on;
- Systematically scrape or republish the Site's content without permission;
- Present quiz output as an official certification, audit result, or endorsement by Meeting Or Not.
4. Content Ownership
The Site's original content โ its design, code, question set, scoring model, and articles โ belongs to Meeting Or Not unless otherwise credited. You're welcome to share your quiz results and quote short excerpts of articles with attribution and a link. To republish an entire article or substantial portions of the Site, ask us first.
5. Ads and Links to Other Sites
The Site displays advertising served by third parties, including Google AdSense, and contains links to external websites (including our companion site, meetingpricetag.com). We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party content, products, or policies. Our Privacy Policy explains how advertising cookies work and how to opt out of ad personalization.
6. No Warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied โ including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't promise the Site will always be available, error-free, or that a verdict will land well with the coworker who loves recurring meetings.
7. Limit on Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meeting Or Not and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Site. If liability can't be fully excluded under applicable law, it is capped at the amount you paid us to use the Site โ zero dollars ($0), since the Site is free.
8. Changes
We may change, pause, or retire any part of the Site at any time, and we may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version; continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
