Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
This policy describes what information meetingornot.com ("we", "us", "the Site") handles, why, and what control you have over it. In plain terms: your quiz answers never leave your browser; the Site uses standard analytics and advertising services that set cookies; and you can opt out of ad personalization at any time using the links below.
1. Your Quiz Answers Stay on Your Device
The Meeting Or Not quiz runs entirely in your browser. Your answers, your verdict, and your confidence score are computed locally by JavaScript and are never transmitted to our servers, stored by us, or shared with anyone. If you close the tab, they're gone. The only thing the Site saves on your device is your dark/light theme preference, kept in your browser's local storage.
2. Technical Data Collected Automatically
Like virtually every website, when you visit the Site our hosting provider and the services described below automatically receive standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use this data in aggregate to understand traffic and keep the Site secure and functioning.
3. Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see aggregate usage patterns โ which articles get read, where visitors come from, how the quiz page performs. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data in a form that does not personally identify you to us. You can opt out of Google Analytics everywhere by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
Advertising is what keeps this Site free. Ads on the Site are served by Google AdSense. Here is what that means for you:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website and/or other websites on the Internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and other sites.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of additional third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices, or youronlinechoices.com if you're in the EU.
More detail about how Google uses data from partner sites is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
5. Cookies and How to Control Them
The Site uses cookies for analytics (Section 3), advertising (Section 4), and core WordPress functions โ for example, an optional cookie that remembers your name and email if you comment on an article, and session cookies for administrators who log in. Every modern browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies in its settings. Blocking cookies will not affect the quiz, which works fine without them.
6. If You Leave a Comment
Commenting on an article collects what you put in the form (name, email, comment) plus your IP address and browser user agent, which help with spam detection. A hashed (anonymized) version of your email may be checked against the Gravatar service to display your profile picture if you have one โ Gravatar's handling is described in the Automattic privacy policy. Approved comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-ups can be approved automatically.
7. Embedded Content
Articles may embed content from other websites (videos, social posts, etc.). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the source website directly โ those sites may set their own cookies and collect their own data, governed by their own privacy policies.
8. European Visitors โ Your GDPR Rights
If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have rights over your personal data: access, correction, portability, deletion, restriction, and objection. Because we collect almost nothing directly, most requests will involve comment data on our side or advertising/analytics data on Google's side (use the opt-out links in Sections 3 and 4 for those). For anything we hold, contact us and we'll respond within 30 days.
9. California Visitors โ Your CCPA Rights
California residents may request to know what personal information is collected about them, request deletion, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We don't sell personal information for money; advertising cookies may qualify as "sharing" under California's definition, and you can opt out using the links in Section 4 or by enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser.
10. Children
This is a workplace productivity tool aimed at working professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
11. Security and Retention
The Site is served over HTTPS. Automatically collected data is retained only as long as needed for the purposes above; comment data is kept as described in Section 6.
12. Policy Updates
If we change this policy, the new version will appear on this page with a fresh "Last updated" date.
13. Contact
Privacy questions or requests: email contact@horizontalimpact.com or use the contact page.
